The Danish Financial Supervisory Authority has announced changes to its board following appointments by the Ministry of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs, including the appointment of Jesper Hjortenberg as a new board member to replace Thomas Elholm. The update also confirms the reappointment of the Nationalbank’s board member, Peter E. Storgaard, and the addition of Karen Dortea Abelskov as an observer. Hjortenberg joined the board on 7 October 2025 for a term of just under three years. He is a law graduate and former state prosecutor, and previously served as Denmark’s representative at Eurojust, and is now an external lecturer at the University of Copenhagen. Elholm left the board in June 2025 after his appointment as a High Court judge at the Western High Court. Storgaard has been reappointed for the period 1 September 2025 to 31 August 2028, while Abelskov, who took up a role as finance director in the ministry in June, will serve as observer until 31 March 2028, replacing Steen Lohmann Poulsen.
