The European Banking Authority has released updates to its Mapping Tool, Signposting Tool and Reporting Time Traveller platform to reflect recent amendments to the Pillar 3 disclosure and supervisory reporting frameworks, including changes linked to the Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR3) and updated requirements up to Reporting framework v4.0. The Mapping Tool, which links quantitative Pillar 3 disclosure data points to relevant supervisory reporting data points, has been revised mainly to reflect CRR3 changes and industry feedback. The Signposting Tool, which helps institutions identify applicable supervisory reporting requirements and templates based on their size and complexity, has been updated for CRR3 and changes to the supervisory reporting technical standards and incorporates requirements through Reporting framework v4.0; it also responds to recommendation 2 of the EBA study on the cost of compliance with supervisory reporting requirements and is intended to support more efficient reporting and lower compliance costs. Enhancements to the Reporting Time Traveller, which provides templates and instructions applicable to a given reference date across reporting modules, are driven by the latest changes to reporting technical standards across most modules. The Reporting Time Traveller will be continuously updated as new regulatory frameworks are released.
