The Securities and Exchange Commission of the Republic of North Macedonia signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Capital Market Commission of the Republic of Montenegro to establish a framework for mutual cooperation and the exchange of information on capital markets supervision and regulation. The MoU envisages closer institutional cooperation through sharing experience and good practices, coordinating supervisory activities, and providing mutual support in licensing processes, investigations, and the implementation of regulations within each authority’s remit. Both authorities framed the agreement as supporting stronger regulatory capacity and alignment with European standards, including more effective implementation of EU-harmonised legal requirements.
