The International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI) announced that it has surpassed 100 members after its Executive Council approved five new memberships on 27 February 2025. The new members are the Compensation Scheme of German Private Banks (Germany), the Depositor Compensation Scheme (Malta), the Deposit Guarantee and Resolution Fund (Mauritania), the Deposit Insurance Fund (Republic of North Macedonia) and the Virgin Islands Deposit Insurance Corporation (Virgin Islands). IADI framed the milestone as reinforcing its role as a global standard-setter and a forum for cooperation, coordination and information sharing on effective deposit insurance systems, including bank crisis management and resolution.
