On a cumulative basis, cash remittances in January to November 2025 rose 3.2% to USD 32.11bn from USD 31.11bn in the same period of 2024. Personal remittances, which include cash sent through banks and informal channels as well as remittances in kind, amounted to USD 3.23bn in November 2025, with year-to-date personal remittances up 3.2% to USD 35.73bn from USD 34.61bn. The United States was recorded as the top source of remittances in January to November 2025, followed by Singapore and Saudi Arabia, although the central bank noted source-country data may be distorted where remittances are routed through correspondent banks or booked under the location of remittance centre head offices.
