The National Bank of Moldova opened a selection competition running from 1 May to 4 June 2025 for participants in its “Școala finanțelor moderne” (School of Modern Finance) programme, and confirmed that the programme will be expanded in 2025 beyond the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova to also cover students from the Faculty of Journalism and Communication Sciences at Moldova State University and economic journalists. The programme, launched in 2023 with support from the National Bank of Romania and in collaboration with the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, will run as interactive seminars and expert sessions in Bucharest across two stages: 26 July to 3 August 2025 (fourth edition) for master’s and final-year undergraduate students of the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, and 6 to 14 September 2025 (fifth edition) for journalism students and master’s students at Moldova State University and economic journalists. One selection process will be used for both editions, with conditions set out in the published procedure; after completion, fourth-edition participants may deliver financial education lectures in rural areas of Moldova, while fifth-edition participants are invited to publish journalistic materials on topics covered in the programme.
