The Bermuda Ministry of Finance announced that Premier and Minister of Finance David Burt will meet European government, regulatory and industry leaders in Brussels and Paris from Sept. 1-5, 2026. Discussions will cover regulatory cooperation, market access, developments in the European financial services framework and broader economic and financial services cooperation affecting Bermuda’s international business sector. Burt will also participate in the Association of Bermuda Insurers and Reinsurers’ Annual International Insurance Regulatory Dialogue. The visit coincides with the 10th anniversary of Bermuda’s equivalence under the European Union’s Solvency II framework.

The Bermuda Ministry of Finance will hold talks with European officials and industry leaders on regulatory cooperation, market access and financial services developments. The Sept. 1-5 visit will also include participation in an international insurance regulatory dialogue and mark 10 years of Bermuda’s Solvency II equivalence.
