The Central Bank of Cyprus published updated aggregate data showing that the banking sector’s nonperforming exposure ratio remained unchanged at 1.6% at the end of May 2026, based on the European Banking Authority Risk Dashboard methodology. The ratio includes loans and advances to central banks and credit institutions. Provision coverage of nonperforming exposures edged up to 63.0% from 62.9% in April. Restructured credit facilities totaled EUR 0.8 billion, of which EUR 0.3 billion remained classified as nonperforming exposures.
