Financial Planning Standards Board Ltd. (FPSB) announced the ninth annual World Financial Planning Day (WFPD), to be held on 8 October 2025, as a global awareness campaign promoting the role of financial planning and the use of financial planners such as CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP) professionals. The event will run in coordination with the International Organization of Securities Commissions’ (IOSCO) World Investor Week (6 to 12 October 2025). The campaign is expected to draw on a network of more than 230,000 CFP professionals worldwide and include financial education activities and outreach across participating territories. FPSB noted that last year’s WFPD campaign involved 20 territories and reached an estimated audience of more than 580 million people through media coverage, events and social media, with IOSCO supporting the 2025 initiative as part of its retail investor education and protection efforts. FPSB indicated that events and programs will be published on the WFPD website in September ahead of the 8 October campaign date.
