The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) has introduced new continuing education (CE) requirements for all mortgage agents and brokers, including level 1 agents, level 2 agents, brokers and principal brokers. The new requirements must be completed by March 31, 2026. The framework has two components: Conduct CE and Technical Knowledge/Professional Development (Professional CE). FSRA is running informational webinars on April 23, 2025 for principal brokers and on May 7, 2025 for all agents and brokers, covering actions needed to meet the requirements, what qualifies as Professional CE, and the consequences of not completing the CE.
