The National Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan published a response to a complaint from Inoyatova S.M., representing the family of the late Izatullo Amonulloevich Inoyatov, concerning real estate in Hisor that Tojprombank transferred into the National Bank’s ownership. The bank said the asset formed part of collateral for a lender-of-last-resort loan and was taken onto its balance sheet only after Tojprombank failed to meet its repayment obligations and after related legal challenges were dismissed. The statement explains that Tojprombank borrowed from the National Bank in 2015 to cover short-term liquidity needs, securing the loan with a package of pledged real estate including an administrative and production building in Hisor on Sokhtmonchiyon Street. It also notes the property had been transferred to Tojprombank on 7 May 2010 under an agreement between Tojprombank and LLC “Anushervon” in settlement of the company’s debt to the bank. Claims by Inoyatov R.A. asserting ownership rights to the pledged asset were reviewed by law enforcement and the courts and rejected, and the National Bank recorded the property on its balance sheet after the Dushanbe Economic Court order No. 7/58 dated 30 January 2025.
