Central Bank of Solomon Islands Governor Luke Forau reaffirmed the bank’s support for the Wansolwara Collaboration during the 2026 Central Bank Wansolwara Exchange Programme in Port Moresby. The initiative brings together the central banks of Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu to strengthen regional policy dialogue, technical cooperation, research and professional networks. Forau said the platform enables the three central banks to share practical responses to common challenges, including financial inclusion, payment system modernization, institutional capacity, climate risks and cybersecurity threats. Cooperation includes staff exchanges, technical secondments, joint workshops and leadership development, alongside work on regulatory innovation, forecasting, green finance and financial system resilience.
