The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) has commenced an investigation into matters raised about Financial Markets Authority (FMA) Chair Craig Stobo, with MBIE leading it as the FMA’s monitoring department. Craig Stobo has agreed to temporarily step aside as FMA Chair while the investigation is undertaken, and will also step aside from his other Crown governance and advisory responsibilities. MBIE indicated it would not comment further until the investigation is complete.

The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) has launched an investigation into Financial Markets Authority (FMA) Chair Craig Stobo. Stobo will temporarily step aside from his role as FMA Chair and other Crown governance and advisory positions during the investigation. MBIE will refrain from further comments until the investigation concludes.
