The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) announced that its Governor, Khalid Humaidan, led Bahrain’s delegation to the Singapore FinTech Festival, combining industry showcasing with a series of meetings aimed at strengthening cross-border cooperation in financial innovation. The delegation comprised around 60 representatives from the CBB, the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), and Bahrain-based financial institutions, including two Bahraini FinTech companies. The BENEFIT Company and Tanami participated for the first time since the festival began and exhibited their digital solutions to investors, regulators, and industry participants at an event attended by 65,000 participants, with 600 exhibitors and 900 speakers from 134 countries. Alongside the exhibition, the delegation met with regulators, technology providers and potential licensees, while the EDB’s Bahrain Pavilion convened ecosystem partners and focused on strengthening investment ties with Singapore; Bahraini banks and other financial institutions also attended to explore partnerships and assess technologies from solution providers.
