The Central Bank of Barbados and Barbados' Financial Services Commission (FSC) hosted “Health Check: Barbados’ Financial System in 2024”, a roundtable discussion to launch the 2024 Financial Stability Report. The report is a joint publication by the two regulators and assesses the soundness of Barbados’ financial system. The discussion covered the results of stress tests conducted on financial institutions and examined three key risks identified as potential threats to financial stability. Panellists included the Central Bank’s Deputy Governor Alwyn Jordan, FSC Chief Executive Officer Warrick Ward, and senior representatives from RBC Royal Bank, Sagicor Life Inc., and the Barbados Cooperative & Credit Union League.
