Alongside panel discussions on developments in the global financial ecosystem and future financial architecture, the NBG delegation held bilateral meetings with regulators including Germany’s Federal Financial Supervisory Authority, the Spanish National Securities Market Commission, the Central Bank of Oman, the British Columbia Securities Commission of Canada, and the Czech regulatory sandbox. The delegation framed the engagements as focused on exchanging supervisory experience, aligning Georgia’s regulatory framework with international best practices, and jointly assessing challenges in the virtual assets area. Jeladze also met Ant International Senior Vice President Leiming Chen to discuss cooperation prospects on payment system interoperability and QR-code-based payment solutions.
