The State Bank of Vietnam’s Party Committee has organised a training course on applying information technology and digital transformation in Party work in 2026, aimed at modernising internal processes and strengthening data governance within the central bank’s Party organisations. Vice Governor Pham Tien Dung positioned digital transformation as a strategic requirement for Party work, with a focus on standardising, digitising and linking party-member data, improving digital document management and archiving, and using analytics to support reporting and leadership decisions. The course covers digital governance for member data and records management, advanced data analysis and visualisation using Excel and Power BI, introductory artificial intelligence applications including party-member assessment and policy forecasting, and cybersecurity measures to protect information and prevent cyberattacks, drawing on instruction from State Bank of Vietnam units and experts from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Banking. The State Bank of Vietnam expects the programme to support more coordinated and effective implementation of digital transformation in Party work across its units.
