The Central Bank of Cyprus published its Bank Lending Survey (ETX) for the fourth quarter of 2025, showing that banks kept lending standards and overall terms for new credit broadly unchanged from the previous quarter, while demand for household borrowing increased. Loan approval criteria for both enterprises and households were unchanged compared with the prior quarter, and overall terms and conditions for granting new loans also remained stable across both segments. Net demand for loans from enterprises was unchanged, while net household demand rose for housing loans and for consumer and other loans, with the increase larger for consumer and other lending.
