The Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF) announced Dataswyft as the winner of the Global vLEI Hackathon in the Trade, Supply Chain, and SME Finance category, recognising a solution that uses GLEIF’s verifiable Legal Entity Identifier (vLEI) to reduce friction in micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) financing through verifiable digital records. AEO Trade (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. was named runner-up for integrating the vLEI with blockchain to create a trusted framework for global trade, with its “AEOTrade Chain+vLEI” model securing and verifying electronic bills of lading to support authenticity, compliance, and collaboration across international supply chains. GLEIF reported more than 110 submissions globally, positioning the vLEI as a tool to prove organisational identity and authority instantly and streamline cross-border digital workflows.
