Moroccan Insurance Authority (ACAPS) participated in the 9th Annual Meeting of Insurance Intermediaries in Casablanca, organised by the National Federation of Insurance Agents and Brokers of Morocco (FNACAM), focusing on compulsory insurance and the impact of artificial intelligence on intermediation. In opening remarks, ACAPS President Abderrahim Chaffai highlighted the central role of insurance intermediaries in the sector’s value chain and argued that efforts to consolidate the market should extend beyond compulsory insurance. Chaffai framed compulsory insurance as primarily aimed at protecting citizens and called for a broader approach grounded in diversification, innovation and improved service quality. He also described artificial intelligence as an opportunity to improve efficiency, transparency and service quality, provided it is integrated responsibly and ethically in ways that support customer relationships and strengthen market credibility.
