The Central Bank of Russia’s Financial Market Risks Review reports that individuals continued investing in Russian corporate bonds, exchange traded money market unit investment funds and shares, while retail demand for foreign currency declined for a third consecutive month. Investment increased by RUB 130 billion in corporate bonds, RUB 79 billion in money market funds and RUB 29 billion in shares. The review will now track sales of Russian securities purchased under permits granted pursuant to presidential executive orders. Sales of shares issued by Russian and international companies totaled slightly more than RUB 1 billion over the past three months and had little effect on prices. At the end of August, foreign exchange rates remained within their 2025-2026 range, while federal government bond yields changed only marginally and corporate bond spreads remained within the range recorded in 2026.
