The Argentina Securities Commission (CNV) issued General Resolution No. 1085 amending its framework for Collective Investment Products (Productos de Inversión Colectiva, PICs) established under the special regimes in Title V, aiming to streamline and speed up authorisation, admission and registration processes by removing formal requirements that do not affect legal certainty or the quality of disclosed information. The changes restructure the rules for PIC special regimes to eliminate duplicated provisions and unify requirements, harmonising treatment for Financial Trusts (Fideicomisos Financieros, FFs) and Common Investment Funds (Fondos Comunes de Inversión, FCIs) within the same special regime. Chapter V of Title V was revised to reorder and consolidate general provisions applicable to both FFs and FCIs, and separate chapters were created for regime-specific provisions applicable to FFs, closed-end FCIs and open-end FCIs, with the open-end FCI rules moved from the general regime. CNV indicated the reorganisation reduces the current rule text by 33 articles.
