In remarks at the event, the Governor linked the reorganisation to the broader administrative streamlining and provincial-level mergers, and noted that Region 12 oversees a large banking footprint including 130 credit-institution branches and 196 People’s Credit Funds. The organisational and personnel decisions take effect from 1 July 2025 and the Region 12 branch has commenced operations under the new structure.
