The Hong Kong Monetary Authority released analytical data on the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region’s foreign currency reserves and foreign currency liquidity as at the end of December 2024, published monthly through the International Monetary Fund’s Template on International Reserves and Foreign Currency Liquidity under the Special Data Dissemination Standard. The HKMA also set out that it issues four Exchange Fund data press releases each month, with three releases used to disseminate monetary data in line with the IMF SDDS and a fourth covering the Exchange Fund’s abridged balance sheet and the Currency Board Account under its transparency policy. For January 2025, the SDDS international reserves figures and the SDDS analytical accounts of the central bank were issued on 7 January and 14 January, respectively.

Hong Kong Monetary Authority publishes end-December 2024 foreign currency reserves and liquidity template under IMF SDDS
