The Group of Thirty (G30) announced that Yiping Huang, Boya Distinguished Professor and Dean of the National School of Development at Peking University, has joined the Group’s membership. Huang’s areas of expertise include macroeconomics, the international financial system, and digital finance. He also serves as Director of Peking University’s Institute of Digital Finance and Deputy Secretary-General of the China Society of Finance and Banking, and has been a member of the People’s Bank of China’s Monetary Policy Committee (2015–2018 and reappointed in 2024). His previous roles include Chief Asia Economist at Citigroup and Barclays, as well as academic posts at the Australian National University and Columbia Business School.
