Japan Financial Services Agency promulgated an order partially amending the Order on Member Protection Trusts and published the results of its public consultation, reporting that no substantive opinions were submitted. The revisions update provisions under the Order on Member Protection Trusts in connection with the Act on Public Interest Trusts (Act No. 30 of 2024), which is scheduled to be enforced on 1 April 2026. The draft amendments were consulted on from 12 December 2025 to 13 January 2026, and the final order will take effect on 1 April 2026 based on the effective date specified by Cabinet Order under the Act’s supplementary provisions.
