The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan reported that First Deputy Governor Aliyar Mammadyarov led a delegation on a business visit to Georgia and participated in an international conference organised by the National Bank of Georgia to mark the 30th anniversary of Georgia’s national currency. He spoke on a panel on the global financial system and the implications for monetary policy, moderated by National Bank of Georgia Governor Natia Turnava. In his remarks, Mammadyarov emphasised the need for central banks to adapt policy frameworks to a complex environment, highlighting strategic agility and institutional resilience as contributors to long-term development. He also pointed to the role of regional coordination, shared experience and analytical capabilities in supporting sustainable development, and referenced initiatives implemented by the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan to support financial stability and financial-sector development. The conference brought together state officials and parliamentarians from Georgia as well as representatives of foreign central banks, academia and international organisations, with more than 300 delegates from over 30 countries.
