The Central Bank of Barbados confirmed that BiMPay, the country’s national instant payment system, will go live at 11:59 p.m. on June 12, 2026. The system will allow payments to settle in seconds at any hour and on any day, and will replace the automated clearing house and real-time processing systems for interbank transfers.

The Central Bank of Barbados confirmed that BiMPay will go live at 11:59 p.m. on June 12, 2026. All six commercial banks and the three largest credit unions will connect to the payment rail at launch, with e-wallet access phased in for Scotiabank and AffinityPlus Credit Union within 30 and 60 days, respectively.
