France's Financial Markets Authority and the Prudential Supervision and Resolution Authority warned the public about several unauthorized actors offering investments in the unregulated foreign exchange market and in derivatives linked to crypto-assets in France. The update forms part of the authorities' regular blacklist revisions. Since the start of 2026, they have added 31 unauthorized websites in the forex category and 26 in the crypto-asset derivatives category, including 15 forex sites and 11 crypto-asset derivatives sites during the past three months. The authorities said the blacklists are updated frequently but are not exhaustive because new unauthorized actors appear regularly. Investors can check whether a firm is authorized to operate in France through the registers for investment services providers, financial investment advisers and crowdfunding service providers. If an intermediary does not appear on those lists, the authorities strongly advise against responding to its solicitations because it may be operating in breach of applicable law and may not comply with basic investor protection, disclosure or complaints-handling rules.
