The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia announced the appointment of Marie Beggin, chief executive officer of Penn East Federal Credit Union, and Lauren Ranalli, president and chief executive officer of First Resource Bank and First Resource Bancorp, to its Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council (CDIAC). The 12-member CDIAC provides insights to Philadelphia Fed officials on economic and business trends affecting community depository institutions in local markets. The council includes representatives from commercial banks, thrift institutions and credit unions and meets twice a year. After each local meeting, a Philadelphia CDIAC representative participates in a cross-Reserve Bank session hosted by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in Washington, D.C. Beggin has more than 30 years of financial industry experience, including prior responsibility for commercial and consumer lending at Penn East FCU, while Ranalli cofounded First Resource Bank in 2005 and serves on its board and key risk and asset-liability committees.
