The Central Bank of Russia published its March update of the Business Climate Index, which declined to -0.1 points from 0.2 points in February, reflecting a softening in businesses’ assessments of current output and demand. Despite weaker readings on current conditions, companies’ expectations for the next three months improved. Businesses’ price expectations were broadly unchanged from February and remained below the average level recorded in the fourth quarter of 2025.
