U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission appoints Jamie Selway as Director of the Division of Trading and Markets

The U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission announced the appointment of Jamie Selway as Director of the Division of Trading and Markets, effective June 17, 2025. Selway most recently was a partner at Sophron Advisors and has held senior roles across market structure and electronic trading, including managing director and head of electronic brokerage at Investment Technology Group and co-founder of White Cap Trading. Earlier roles included chief economist at Archipelago, Equity Derivatives Research at Goldman Sachs, and associate director of research at the National Association of Securities Dealers, which later became the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.
