The National Bank of Serbia published payment statistics showing that card-based and e-money online purchases rose 28.5% year over year to 34.2 million in the second quarter of 2026. Domestic-currency payments accounted for 24.45 million transactions, or 71.5% of the total, while 9.75 million purchases were made on foreign websites. The number of dinar-denominated purchases increased 30.8% to 24.5 million, while their value rose 34.9% to RSD 76.3 billion. Euro-denominated payments increased 34.7% to 7.7 million and 23.8% by value to EUR 324.2 million. US dollar transactions fell 16% by number to 1.4 million but rose 11.2% by value to USD 67.7 million. The number of domestic online stores increased 21.4% to 6,278 at end-June, and the data exclude cash-on-delivery purchases.
