The Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency (Hanfa) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with supervisory authorities from Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Romania, North Macedonia, Slovakia and Slovenia to strengthen cooperation in coordinating the regulation and supervision of regulated markets. The MoU sets a framework for more intensive cooperation in defining and implementing initiatives for regional capital market development, including identifying regulatory shortcomings and pursuing activities aimed at harmonising capital market rules, based on mutual trust and proportionality. The signing was hosted by the Slovenian Securities Market Agency (ATVP) and is positioned as a continuation of a regional market integration initiative backed by an agreement signed by the participating countries’ finance ministers in August 2025.
