The Canadian Securities Administrators has invited interested stakeholders to join the livestream for its Toronto tokenization workshop, Powering Growth and Competitiveness, on June 11, 2026. Building on earlier discussion in Calgary, the workshop is intended to gather practical input from stakeholders and CSA members on tokenization in capital markets, including existing and potential use cases, legal issues requiring further analysis, friction points with current securities laws, and areas that could benefit from regulatory guidance. The session will run from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET and forms part of Project Tokenization. Through that project, the CSA will use stakeholder engagement, issue mapping and targeted research to examine the opportunities and risks of tokenization as it develops in capital markets. Subsequent phases could include a discussion paper or live testing of tokenized financial instruments and infrastructure within the CSA Collaboratory.
