The Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission reported that it hosted regional winners of the Department of Migrant Workers’ LIKHAng MARINO Business Plan Competition for an educational session on raising capital through the capital market, protecting investments and identifying scams. The initiative supports returning seafarers seeking to turn business plans into sustainable enterprises. LIKHAng MARINO forms part of the department’s flagship reintegration program, which provides returning overseas Filipino workers with business mentorship and capacity building. The session was conducted under the SEC Communication, Advocacy, and Network Initiative, whose interagency network has 326 public and private partners nationwide.
