The survey covered 20,448 people representing 92.8 million residents. Among those earning up to one minimum wage, 41% reported high financial stress and 34% moderate stress. Women account for 57% of people earning up to one minimum wage and 55% of monthly household spending, while the survey also identified a cycle in which income is directed to consumption, debt and other obligations, generating renewed shortages and pressure to earn more.
