The National Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan hosted the 21st meeting of the Inter-State Coordination Council of Heads of Insurance Supervisory Authorities of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in Dushanbe, with Deputy Chairman Daler Murodalizoda using the opening session to highlight Tajikistan’s recent insurance-market expansion and supervisory modernisation. The speech positioned insurance as a key part of economic and financial stability and noted that, with government support and the National Bank’s work as the insurance supervisory authority, Tajikistan’s insurance market has grown by around 4.3 times since 2017, alongside upgrades to legislation, infrastructure, modern supervisory methods and digital platforms for regulating insurance processes. The meeting also underscored the Council’s role in exchanging experience, aligning approaches and developing joint decisions, with discussions spanning legislative improvements and the use of modern technologies. The 21st meeting and a 14th seminar for heads of subordinate units of CIS insurance supervisory authorities were scheduled to run on 25–26 September 2025 in Dushanbe as part of Tajikistan’s 2025 CIS chairmanship events plan.
