The Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) has launched the fifth edition of the Cybersecurity Leaders Program, a high-level training initiative aimed at developing Kuwaiti specialists in information and network security to strengthen cyber resilience across the banking and financial sector. The programme forms part of the Kafa’a initiative, run in collaboration with Kuwaiti banks and managed by the Kuwait Institute of Banking Studies. It is designed to build a pipeline of professional leaders and technicians able to develop programmes to protect banking and financial information systems in line with information security best practices. Delivery will be in collaboration with the SANS Cyber Institute, will run for three months, and will conclude with a training workshop conducted with the Bank for International Settlements. Admission is based on objective criteria, including required tests and personal interviews, with applications open from 29 May to 30 June 2025 via the Kafa’a initiative website.
