The National Bank of Georgia held a series of training seminars for the non-bank financial sector under its Educational Space initiative, with the latest session focused on “Non-Bank Sector Resilience: Transparency and Reporting” for stakeholders from the Imereti and Adjara regions. The programme covered practical guidance on completing financial reports and using the electronic reporting portal, alongside discussion of operational risk reduction and stronger corporate governance. A dedicated module addressed anti-money laundering measures, with emphasis on preventive actions. Participation expanded to nearly 200 representatives from currency exchange offices, compared with around 50 lending entities and microfinance organisations involved in last year’s regional sessions. The National Bank of Georgia indicated it intends to broaden its professional education programmes to reach a wider range of target audiences.
