The Superintendency of the Securities Market of the Dominican Republic announced that it had held a training session on the Asset Forfeiture Law and its impact on the securities market. The session was aimed at helping compliance officers and staff at supervised entities understand how the regime applies to market participants and how it connects to prevention, detection and investigation tools used in the financial and securities sectors. The program reviewed the law's scope, principles, precautionary measures, procedure and legal effects, with a focus on implications for securities market participants. It was delivered by Judge Pelagio Alcántara Sánchez, head of the Public Prosecutor's Office Asset Forfeiture Unit, and coordinated by the regulator's Department for Prevention of Securities Market Crimes.
