The Saudi Central Bank has appointed Talal F. Al-Humoud as vice governor for technical affairs. He moves into the role after serving as assistant governor for monetary affairs since February 2024. Al-Humoud previously served as deputy governor for investment from 2022 to 2024 and earlier held a series of senior reserves and fixed income positions at SAMA, including director of the reserves management department from 2017 to 2022. He joined the central bank in 2009 as an investment analyst, holds bachelor's degrees in economics and business administration finance from universities in Vancouver, Canada, and is also a board member of the Saudi Fund for Development and a member of several SAMA committees.
