The Commodity Futures Trading Commission granted 10 whistleblower awards totaling more than USD 150 million through final determinations issued between July and September 2026. The recipients provided original information that led the CFTC and other authorities to bring successful enforcement actions. Eligible whistleblowers may receive 10% to 30% of collected monetary sanctions, with awards funded by sanctions paid to the CFTC rather than amounts withheld from harmed customers. Since its first award in 2014, the program has paid more than USD 580 million in cases associated with over USD 5.1 billion in monetary sanctions.
