The Guernsey Financial Services Commission is enhancing its website to help users and AI-powered services distinguish current information from archived legislation, guidance and other historical material. The changes are intended to reduce the likelihood that search engines return outdated documents as current content. Archived documents will carry a prominent watermark and embedded metadata identifying them as historical. Users will also see an explanatory landing page before opening archived material, with links to replacement publications where newer versions exist. The changes will take effect during the week of Aug. 17.
