The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic held working meetings in Austria (Vienna) and the Czech Republic (Prague), organised with World Bank support, focusing on practical application of the Supervisory Review and Evaluation Process (SREP) methodology and how to embed supervisory tools into day-to-day supervisory practice. Discussions with the Central Bank of Austria, the Central Bank of the Czech Republic, Raiffeisen Bank International AG, Erste Group Bank AG and the Association of Austrian Banks and Bankers covered internal oversight arrangements, the formation of supervisory assessments and engagement with supervised institutions. The exchange also addressed implementation issues related to SREP, including stress testing, macroprudential regulation and risk assessment processes.
