The Chile Financial Market Commission (CMF) board sanctioned five publicly offered securities issuers for breaching ongoing disclosure duties after failing to submit their financial statements to the CMF on time, contrary to General Rule No. 30. The measures, adopted under Exempt Resolution No. 11.493, comprised censures for Alfa Transmisora de Energia S.A. and Sociedad Agricola La Rosa Sofruco S.A., and fines of UF 120 for Inmobiliaria La Republica S.A., UF 125 for Sociedad Concesionaria Salud Siglo XXI S.A., and UF 250 for Sudmedica Quillota S.A. The CMF noted that timely financial reporting is necessary to provide up-to-date information on issuers’ financial condition for supervisory and market decision-making.
