The Qatar Financial Markets Authority is participating in meetings of the Association of National Numbering Agencies in Zurich, where national numbering agencies, financial market infrastructure representatives and international institutions are discussing standards for numbering and identifying financial instruments. The discussions focus on the future of financial market infrastructure, the role of financial identifiers in market efficiency, digital asset standards, and financial services reference data. QFMA is represented by Ali Beraik Shafeea, director of the Securities Offering and Listing Affairs Department. The agenda includes updates from working groups on International Securities Identification Number guidelines, the Classification of Financial Instruments, and the Financial Instrument Short Name, as well as ISO activities and standards concerning financial services reference data. The meetings run through June 12.
