The Egyptian Financial Regulatory Authority instructed the Insurance Pool against risks of railway, metro and highway accidents to expedite compensation payments for victims and injured persons from the Matrouh train accident in Marsa Matrouh Governorate, and to exceptionally increase the death benefit to EGP 75,000 from EGP 30,000. Compensation for injured persons will be determined based on the assessed percentage of disability.
