The Moroccan Insurance Authority hosted a delegation from the Japan International Cooperation Agency as part of a macroeconomic mission to Morocco, with discussions centered on recent developments in the country’s insurance and social welfare sectors. The meeting focused on ACAPS’ priorities in prudential supervision, risk management, and the protection of policyholders and beneficiaries, alongside the prospects for these sectors and their contribution to national economic resilience, particularly in relation to climate change. The exchange also provided an opportunity to present ACAPS’ mandate, its regulatory and supervisory approach, and key initiatives under way to support the development of the insurance and social welfare sectors. ACAPS placed the visit within its broader dialogue with international institutional partners aimed at exchanging experience and strengthening cooperation on financial regulation, supervision, and sector development.
