The National Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan reported discussions on introducing Apple Pay in the country with Visa, International Bank of Tajikistan, Humo Bank and Alif Bank. Visa and the participating financial institutions expressed readiness to implement the service, which would expand Tajikistan’s digital and cashless payment options. Apple Pay would join Google Pay and Garmin Pay in the market. Tajikistan’s existing payment infrastructure includes real-time interbank settlement, instant transfers, mobile and internet banking, and a unified QR code.
